There is more time to make a Target run.
Target has extended store hours in the days leading up to Christmas.
Starting Sunday, most stores will open at 7 a.m. and close at midnight through Dec. 23, Target officials confirmed to USA TODAY. Hours can vary by location and are listed on the store locator at Target.com/store-locator.
Target Chief Stores Officer Mark Schindele said in a statement to USA TODAY that the company is trying to make it “as easy as possible for guests to get all their holiday needs, on their terms. Our extended holiday shopping hours – starting even earlier this year – is one example of just that, allowing guests more time to shop in store or use our fast same-day pickup options during the final weeks of the holiday season.”

Last year, Target extended holiday hours starting on Dec. 11. Most stores typically close at 10 p.m. during normal hours throughout the year.
Most Walmart stores are open from 6 a.m. to 11 p.m. daily and the world’s largest retailer last updated its store hours in June. During its recent Black Friday sale, Walmart stores opened an hour earlier at 5 a.m.
This weekend, Dec. 4-5, Target will hold a two-day gift card sale with 10% off store gift cards and on Saturday will release a limited-edition Lego collection with clothes, accessories, home goods, toys and clothes for dogs.
The “LEGO Collection x Target” has nearly 300 items that range in price from $1.50 to $120. Most items will be less than $30.
Target will have another weeklong “Holiday Best” deals sale Sunday through Dec. 11 in-store and online. The Minneapolis-based retailer’s “Holiday Best” deals are new this year and started rolling out weekly since Halloween.
Deals marked as “Holiday Best” signal that it is Target’s “best planned price of the season.”
“If a Holiday Best deal price does happen to go lower later in the season, Target’s enhanced Holiday Price Match Guarantee allows guests to price match items at Target through Dec. 24,” the company said in a statement. The new holiday price-match policy began in October.
