Holiday fashion is a time for glitz and glam with so many trends you won’t know where to begin. Luckily, the Hollywood stars are here to help with a holiday look-book for the most wonderful time of the year.
It’s time to slay your festivities from winter whites to velvet velour. Take a look at the top trends of the holiday season that are so hot they’ll be sure to melt the snow!

The holidays are a time for giving and Blake Lively is the epitome of a quality red-ribbon wrapped gift. Red is one of the top holiday colours and the actress looks stunning in the embellished couture minidress.
The holidays are a time for giving and Blake Lively is the epitome of a quality red-ribbon wrapped gift. Red is one of the top holiday colours and the actress looks stunning in the embellished couture minidress.
How’s this for red! Imagine being at a holiday gala and Gal Gadot walks in wearing this spicy red number. With a colour as bold as red, you’ll be sure to turn heads. This “Red Notice” star surely did.
Collars have been a huge trend lately. Perhaps it’s the more chic version of a good old turtleneck. You can add a little flair to your look with a collar like Bella Thorne did to this all black sequin set.
Not a fan of the miniskirt? Try a sophisticated pencil skirt instead, just like Mrs. Bieber. The model paired the skirt with a matching black crop top and a contrast collar for Elle magazine’s Women In Hollywood Celebration.
There’s nothing better than a soft-to-the- touch thick fabric like velvet, especially on a cold winter day. Just ask Ryan Reynolds, he’s Canadian! The actor pulled some inspo from his wife Blake Lively, opting for a red number, only this one is sweet like red velvet!
Italian fashion icon Chiara Ferragni styles velvet by wearing an asymmetrical, one sleeve LBD with a bedazzled trim, channelling that holiday sparkle! She pairs it with tights – totally chic and on trend.
Perhaps that was too much too handle? So many sparkles can be quite overwhelming. Try toning it down a notch with a basic staple like this oversized blazer worn by Sandra Bullock. The actress taps into another holiday trend that’s been around for years- the turtleneck!
Green is another fabulous colour to wear during the holidays. Not to mention, it’s a royal colour as well! The Duchess of Cambridge chose to sparkle, opting for an embellished gown for her glamorous outing.
If a fairy godmother could dress you for NYE this would be it – sparkle galore! Tracee Ellis Ross shines in a light blue sequin ensemble. The actress adds some extra flair with a metallic gold fringe jacket.
Smooth like satin! This trendy material is another one that satisfies our senses. It’s so smooth that it often appears shimmery like Jared Leto’s pink three-piece suit he wore to the “House Of Gucci” premiere in Los Angeles.
Dakota Johnson takes on two holiday trends that make the perfect pair- smooth satin and shining star! “The Lost Daughter” actress looks stylish in her festive satin trousers and shiny rhinestone top.
Flock around the Christmas tree with some fluffy feathers like English model and actress Suki Waterhouse. Feather sleeves and shrugs are a big holiday hit. Try styling them with a bedazzled dress to complete the look.
Feather-trimmed fashion pieces are a great way to introduce feathers to your wardrobe. This hot look has been super trendy right now for Hollywood celebs like Issa Rae. The actress gets down to business in this caramel number featuring extra fluffy feathers.
They say when summer ends it’s time to ditch the whites. But how about those winter whites!? Snowy white pieces are effortlessly elegant like this sharp pantsuit worn by Maren Morris at the CMA Awards.
Add a little sparkle to those winter whites like Taylor Swift did. The star wore a gold trimmed mini dress paired with gold heels channeling that glittery feeling for the magical season. Add some red lipstick and viola, you’ll look like a shining snow angel!
Go big or go home…for the holidays. Around this time of year, everything is big and eccentric, as we celebrate the year’s closing chapter. Take those last risks like Kate Beckinsale did with this off the shoulder ruffle sleeve, before times up and the clock strikes 2022!
Maybe you prefer a classic shoulder puff sleeve like Ana Beatriz Barros. The Brazilian fashion model stunned with this icy blue blouse, paired with a black skirt and some sparkly accessories for that holiday touch.
“Ring-a-ling” those “silver bells” because “soon it will be Christmas day”! Lil Nas X makes a loud statement with his marvellous metallic skirt, puffer jacket and boots for the iHeratRadio 2021 Jingle Ball. Talk about a monochrome fit!
Spacey Kacey jumps on the metallic trend, opting for a longer skirt. Pair the look with a block coloured crop top like Kacey Musgraves to let the majestic metallic do the talking. Pairing any holiday outfit with some knee-high boots is very on trend too.
Plaid season is back! This trend makes a comeback every year with stunning new pieces to spice up the traditional look. Who would of thought a plaid mini dress could look this good? Vanessa Hudgens rocks the strappy black and white sequin dress with trendy white boots while appearing on “The Tonight Show”.
Just Wow! This red and white full plaid set absolutely screams Christmas! It looks like that pretty wrapping paper you don’t want to unwrap. Alexandra Daddario dialled it up on the red spectrum by pairing the suit with red heels, a red handbag and a red lip.
Have you noticed stars have been rocking the elbow-high fashion gloves lately? This trend has made a gorgeous comeback and makes any outfit look classy and elegant. Hailee Steinfeld dons a nice pair of white satin gloves with her embellished holiday look.
The long glamorous gloves also make a bold statement with a simple, bold outfit like this all black ensemble worn by superstar Dua Lipa. The long black gloves beautifully accessorize her otherwise bare arms, making the dress fashionably more “winter appropriate”.
Last but certainly not least, country dynamic duo Madison Marlow and Taylor Dye of Maddie & Tae are checking off multiple holiday trends. Smooth satin and puffy party sleeves for Tae and glamorous gloves and shiny sparkles for Maddie. These two have done their homework! Not to mention they are both wearing a perfect holiday colour- green.
